What is a Parish Plan? A Parish Plan is a statement of how local people want to see their village grow and develop over the coming years. It is created by the residents themselves, and can cover a wide range of issues including; social, environmental and economic. After consultation with residents an action plan of how the changes are to be made will be formed.
Why should we have a Parish Plan?
- To encourage a strong community spirit.
- To become more aware of village assets and threats.
- To collect evidence by consultation with residents, local groups and businesses.
- To help support decisions and funding bids.
- To stimulate community activities.
- To give our community longevity and sustainability for the future.
